Like the others who have already commented, I also think you should ask your doctor to test you for POTS (Postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome). Specifically, the subtype Hyperadrenergic POTS. There has been an increase in POTS due to COVID. I first learned about it from this Washington Post article. https://www.washingtonpost.com/wellness/2023/02/27/pots-heart-fainting-long-covid. I hope you're able to find answers to what's going on! And if it is a chronic illness, know that you aren't alone!

I looked up that kind of POTS and it def aligns with many symptoms—fingers crossed I can get a diagnosis and figure out what caused it in the first place—thank you so much!!

Did your provider recommend other types of cardiac medications such as calcium channel blocker? Certain cardiac medications don’t work well for African American patients. Have you tried Excedrin for your headaches? It’ll take time but you’ll get to where you want to be! I hope you start feeling better soon!

No I was prescribed a smaller dose of a different beta blocker but I see blood pressure is a side effect of that one too 😭 it’s good to know there are other ways to reduce the tachycardia though—I’ll ask my cardiologist thank you thank you!! And I will try excedrin as well!

I’ve been keeping up with your health issues as it sounds like some of my chronic illnesses. If you doctor hasn’t tested you for Dysautonomia/POTS, please ask them about it! I hope you get answers soon!

Omg I so relate to this. Watching the old Bratz show and movies and the original Sailor Moon is so comforting. Stuff I loved as a kid! I'm sorry your still struggling with health issues. I have my own chronic problems and can relate to going to do something and paying for it. I sincerely hope you're able to find answers. POTS and POTS like things suck, I have some of the same problems you described. Good luck and take it one day at a time, and enjoy Power Rangers <3

The fact that February has been better than January sounds like a positive trend. Of course when recovering from a serious illness, even if the trend is positive, it is never monotonic, and there are bound to be better and worse days. But the trend is the main thing, and it does sound like you are on an improving trajectory. Sending you my best wishes for a speedy recovery, and sending my prayers for the same out into the Universe. And yes, I am talking up your book. It is not something I need to remember to do, or remind myself to do; it just happens naturally, because that’s the kind of book you wrote.

If you're interested in some medication and alternative suggestions I'd be happy to talk with you about them. Don't want to intrude. I've had a migraine for 14yrs and have been on nearly every med they provide as well as done a lot of natural/alternative courses. As well as have heart issues. I wish you the best healing 💚
