I engage in self care by doing my nails, shopping, and light candles!

For my self care I like to crochet, read, play video games and listen to my music! Just to go into another world for a little bit.

My self-care is baking, reading, and recently, connecting with nature. Being able to unwind in another world or create something delicious to eat helps me get back to my essence.

Your newsletter topic came at a challenging moment in my life. I'm experiencing that "sunk cost fallacy" right now. Your words assure me that I'm not alone and I need to do what's right by me. Thank you. <3

Some of my self-care includes going on walks and taking in nature. Being outside keeps me grounded and helps me focus on the beauty of nature rather than the chaos of my life. I also try to journal my thoughts when my mind becomes overwhelmed with negative feelings.

“Sometimes the road to peace is lined with bumps and potholes, ha.“ Ha! Indeed. It’s a harsh reality, but I know it’s building and growing a better me. For self care, I take myself out to eat or partake in a home spa day that includes journaling and listening to motivational/inspirational videos.

For self-care, I read a lot. Its one of the more comforting things for me, especially when I am very anxious.

I appreciate that you're learning as you go and doing it in public—you inspire me. I'll be cheering you on as you share your struggles here. Thank you for the reminder that failure is commendable, because it means you tried. What if there's no such thing as failure? Maybe everything is a success that I just don't understand yet.

I appreciate this post so much this week. I’m currently moving out of my childhood home and the sunken cost fallacy feeling is hitting HARD. I keep seeing all the hobbies, interests, and momentos I had once invested in but then fell to the wayside. What’s been helping me get rid of/donate these things is taking moments to revisit the memories and feelings those materials provided me, thanking them for their use, and connecting how those experiences help to shape who I am today. It’s definitely been lifting a weight off my shoulders (and my suitcases).

When I start to feel overwhelmed and disconnected from myself, for self-care I will take a social media break and indulge in a new video game and TV show. Currently taking that break while playing Breath of the Wild (LOVING IT) and watching Sex and the City, thinking of ways to romanticize my life once I’m settled. 😂

I always love reading your newsletters! But 100% to that feeling of starting over being hard and why we stick with things we probably shouldn't haha I'm trying hard to be better about assessing that and journaling more + therapy has been very helpful for my self care

💗 the sunk cost fallacy is something ive never heard of but totally applies *hard sigh*.. And your post is confrimation that im on the right path. Ive been holding on to an old relationship and ive finally had enough. I pride myself in not being a quitter..but keeping the relationship going has only caused me to be stagnant. And in this season im choosing self care and love.

Love you and so proud you are pivoting towards what feels right for you! (Im proud of all of us for choosing ourselves and our dreams regardless of what others think!)

**self care: I love lighting candles to journal & turning on a playlist to move my body to. 🦋
