Missed the last newsletter so I’m late but super sorry you’re going through this girly!! :( sending you loves of love and positivity! After have kids I def know what you mean about the differences in treatment of black women /: I’m glad you’re advocating for yourself!! Don’t stop! And if possible, have a designated person that can advocate for you when you can’t or are tired. I’m glad things are slowly looking up and hope that you’re all good to go for your Valentine’s Day plans! 🫶🏽🩷✨

P.s. I’m also so happy for Victoria Monet! Love her music and how dedicated she’s been to her craft. And also could never hate Miley 😆

Yes, it eventually went away on it's own , the Tylenol and Amoxicillin ( btw ruined my liver) they prescribed only helped with my muscle aches a little bit. Yes! An allergist can test if your allergic to mold and if it's in your system. No, please ask away because they were testing my blood 24/7 ,even std's and I didn't even know what the ANA test was. I'm actually lucky I'm on Medicare, I didn't have any bills.

Also my weird rash only went away due to my dermatologist prescribing me some cream but now I have like 40 hyperpigmentation spots all over my body in various locations.

But yes,I've heard black doctors and black women's stories but this was my first experience with being black in Healthcare and having a God awful experience.

I missed the last newsletter so this is news to me, I hope the doctors start listening and you get better!! And I wanted to share my story. I was sick between August and October and we still don't know what it was, my muscles ached so much I could barely move, I lost about 20 pounds, I was asleep majority of the day because of the fatigue , I had a crazy cough, and a odd rash at the same time that definitely wasn't a spider bite but the doctors kept telling me it was , all my doctors kept sending me home with Tylenol and told me to rest, till I decided to see an Allergist to check if it's mold and she told me to definitely see a dermatologist, and rheumatologist . Still don't know what had me down ,possibly lupus or a different autoimmune disease.

Ah that’s terrifying! So it just went away on its own? Or did you do anything that helped? I didn’t even know seeing an allergist for mold was possible, thank you for sharing! Not to be too personal but did you get an ANA test done? Those can detect autoimmune diseases!

The sending you home with Tylenol hits close to home. That was my first ER experience--Tylenol and a huge bill 😭
