I know sending off a newsletter on a Saturday evening isn’t “optimal” for email opens, but I felt moved to write something today, so here we are! Before I dive into the topic at hand, I want to say congrats to our Self-Care Coloring Book giveaway winners! Dawn Downey and Tia-Lynn have both won a copy of my self-care coloring book, along with other mystery prizes. Please email me [hey@jacqueaye.com] to claim your prizes. Thank you to everyone who shared their self-care rituals with me! I enjoy doing these giveaways, and I’ll announce the next one in a few weeks.
Now, onto the manifesting…
Ever since the huge depressive episode that put me in a seemingly permanent state of woefulness, I’ve stopped “dreaming”. In other words, I no longer make vision boards, and I don’t plan five to ten years into the future anymore. I don’t even plan a year out in advance. I just…float. I think this was a response to how depression can rob you of, well, everything. I’ve basically learned to look forward to nothing. I don’t want to be like this. So, I’m trying to embrace dreaming and planning again. But I’m starting small and only planning 1-2 months out.
Here are some manifestations for September!
🧚🏾♀️I wish to share a huge win this month!
🧚🏾♀️I wish to collaborate with other creative people in different industries [at least two!]
🧚🏾♀️I wish to stay laser-focused on rebuilding the parts of my life that depression demolished
🧚🏾♀️I wish to love myself so much that any outside noise simply becomes static in the background [I’m like, 80% there, lol]
🧚🏾♀️I wish to give myself and others grace and stop overthinking/analyzing everything
🧚🏾♀️I wish to learn balance and protect my peace without shutting everyone out
🧚🏾♀️I wish to meet someone who will change my life for the better!
🧚🏾♀️I wish to continue shamelessly creating any and everything that comes to my heart/mind.
🧚🏾♀️I wish to have an amazing adventure
I know these seem vague, but that’s my list! If you don’t mind sharing, let me know your manifestations for this month below!
Updatessss
I’ve shared this in a past newsletter, but I’ll be at NYCC! I’ll be vending by Barnes & Noble’s booth😲 in the brand-new Writer’s Block! I’ll also be chatting on a panel, but I can’t share that one until all the details are ironed out.
The audiobook for How To Be a Better Adult is complete! Unfortunately, I wasn’t aware of Amazon’s 10-day approval process for audiobooks 😅 so it’ll be another week or so before it appears on Audible. Thank you all for your patience! This also means the group read for my Weird Book Club has been pushed back a few days. I really wanted the audiobook to be completed before we started. But the good news is….if you haven’t joined, you still have time!
Join the club here, and introduce yourself! And if you’ve already read How to Be a Better Adult, please leave me a review on Amazon or Goodreads. Reviews help me, but also help other readers to know if a book is for them.
Anywho, today’s random advice? People will say what they want and hold whatever perception they want to have about you. It usually has nothing to do with you as a person and everything to do with their own life experiences. Don’t feel bad, but also don’t ignore it. Remember it. Because people always circle back, and you need to know who not to give your all to when the time comes.

Sending good vibes to everyone on their manifestations ❤️ My intentions for Sep are to:
- Connect with nature
- Explore somewhere new in the city I live in
- Continue to be guided on employment/income stuff
- Make a new friend (and be open to a new friendship blooming)
-Continue to be in the energy of flow
P.S: Yay, im so happy and excited Im one of the winners! This month has been so hectic and I have been wanting to color for the longest time. Im super grateful 🥺. I made sure to send you an email!
I echo Tia-Lynn's first two. They must be the right ones for me, because just writing them out intimidates me.
I wish to connect with nature.
I wish to explore somewhere new in my city.
