This is your monthly reminder to treat yourself—you deserve it!
Life is hard (and weird), and it’s okay to reward yourself for simply getting by. Here are some simple ways to treat yourself that don’t require a lot but work wonders!
Listen to my indulgent “Treat Yourself” Playlist and dance around your room!
Book yourself a simple pedicure, or grab some polish and paint your toes yourself. The beauty of painting your toes? You can be as sloppy as you want when applying…it all corrects itself over time and lasts forever.
Take a long shower with an assortment of body washes. It’s like mixing a drink…on your body, haha.
This is one of my personal faves, but grabbing a cup of Starbucks and walking through B&N or Target while sighing blissfully like I’m in some sort of indie coming-of-age movie really pulls me out of my funks.
Buy a ticket for a random movie! You’ll either find a new fave or a movie you love to hate. August 27th is National Cinema Day…movie tickets are only $4! Go, go, go!
Head to your local flea market or craft store, buy cute beads, chains, and tools, and create your own jewelry. It’s super calming, cost-effective, and fun! Here are some ideas!
Find a food truck and try something new!
Buy something from a local, small business. The owners are usually incredibly grateful and open to chatting. I love learning about people’s passions and journeys when I stop by their stores.
Challenge yourself to only say positive statements all day!
Hopefully this list helps out!
How to Be a Better Adult Update!
I heard the first draft of the audiobook, and I’m SO excited! My narrator, Jynelle, has been so wonderful to work with! If all goes as planned, the audiobook should be available August 28th/29th. If anything changes, I’ll update everyone!
If you’ve read a physical or Kindle version of How to Be a Better Adult, please leave me a review on Amazon or Goodreads. Reviews help me, but also help other readers to know if a book is for them.
Thank you so much!
And for upgraded subscribers, here’s a preview of a chapter from the audiobook!
