Crying, screaming, throwing up.
Here we go again.
Hey Sad Girls!
I’m back at it again….on Kickstarter! Tuesday’s Blues is live, and this project means so, so much to me. As does everything I make on my own…but still.
In Tuesday’s Blues, Tuesday is a down-on-her-luck, college dropout, pursuing her dream of becoming a professional musician. With her thrifted guitar and her gentle, soulful voice, she sets out to make it big in the big city.
Listen to Tuesday's curated chill playlist.
But…she just can’t seem to make anything substantial happen. After struggling for a while, Tuesday’s roommate goes ghost, leaving her in a lurch. She has no money. No real job. No gigs. And rent is due. That’s when she decides to do something drastic…
She summons the monster under her bed.
Listen to Shadow's darkness summoning hip-hop playlist.
Shadow’s been haunting the darkness under Tuesday’s bed for twenty-eight years, and it’s time to earn her keep. Tuesday forces her to get a job so she can finally pay some bills. And when that’s not enough, they find a third roommate—Claudette Blanc.
Listen to Claudette's tres chic pop princess playlist.
Claudette’s been cut off financially by her wealthy parents for taking an extended gap year away from Witching School. Without her papa’s credit cards, she can’t afford her luxurious penthouse. So, she moves in with Tuesday and Shadow.
Together, the three women navigate dating, dark forces, and their waning finances.
I hope to raise enough to fill the book with artwork by Whytmanga, along with companion stories from Eisner-nominated writer Jamila Rowser and journalist and published author Briana Lawrence.
We’ll also include prints from artists like Alana Ladson, Astronym, and Monster High artist Caroline Shuda. If we raise enough, I’ll have an original song created by a [mystery] indie artist! And once again, the book will be edited by Queen of the Moonies—Victoria L. Johnson!
Now, my last campaign was a challenge because I didn’t expect all that happened to happen. This time, I’ve given myself a year to complete this project. I’ve learned my lesson to account for life’s curveballs. No more over-estimating my output! I also have more support this time around.
If you enjoyed the magic of I Live to Serve the Witch and the absurdity of the How to Be a Better Adult series, you’ll love this comic/novel hybrid! Happy Tuesday’s Bluesday! 💙
How to Escape Death
I sent direct updates yesterday, but the fulfillment center has all the copies! And now we wait for shipping to begin. I’m hoping they’re sent off this week. It’s been a long process! And I have overshared every step of the way! Ha. Thanks for hanging in there.
Once pre-orders are out, I will add (lower quality) physical copies to Amazon.

This looks so beautiful! What a great project. I'm excited to watch it grow
i love this story concept so much!!
if i may, the main character reminds me loosely of Tuesday from the anime Carol and Tuesday (just in the musician sense!)
